Description:
The AVS3P-0 is a 3 phase Automatic Voltage Switcher that controls an external 3 phase controller or contactor of any size. The AVS3P-0 will switch off the equipment connected to it if the mains power goes outside preset acceptable limits and will re-connect automatically – when the mains power returns to normal. Re-connection takes place after a delay
(‘the start-up delay’) to ensure stability of the mains. In addition, the start-up delay (adjustable from 10 secs to 10 mins) provides protection against power-back surges commonly experienced after resumption of power in a power cut situation. Surge and spike protection is also incorporated to ensure protection against these commonly occurring events.

Function
The AVS3P-0 protects from over voltage and under voltage on any one of the three phases as well as loss of one or more phases. Indication and/or disconnection as a result of mains frequency error or phase sequence error is available as an option. Unlike the AVS303, The AVS3P-0 is designed to operate an external control circuit or contactor which may be part of a motor starter or other equipment. The AVS3P-0 will open the contact if it detects a voltage problem.
